FL 1993-1995 rx-7. 5 speed. Clean

Year: 1993
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-7
Price: $1
Mileage: 1
Color: all
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (US State/Canada/Int): FL

I'm looking for a stock, or close to stock FD RX-7. Looking for something clean. Something in great condition. I want to find a car that has been cared for and loved. I'm really looking for an R1 or Base model, but will consider Touring models as well. I'd like to have relatively low miles, and a lower number of owners. Light, or Reliability mods are ok. I will consider most cars. Clean title, and no accidents.

Thank you for looking. Let me know what you have!

NOT looking for: shells, cars with rust, Junkers, or projects cars, cars with a lot of owners, or high mileage, or accidents, or cars with body filler, or questionable titles or title situations. cars with body kits, non running cars, cars without engines or transmissions, etc..

Found some good ones, nothing close though. An R1 that I'm looking at is out of my state, and nowhere near a rotary shop. I need it thoroughly inspected.

A really clean R1 or Base model would be great. Like the Red R1 in Montana that had 45k miles. It went for $20k. It was on here. Or that super clean Red R2, a guy was selling a few months ago. That thing was really nice. That was on here too.

You've been looking for a long time now! Totana's car in Montana went for a very nice price, I think $20k is difficult for what you're looking to find, generally. Good luck though, hope you find what you want!

Thank you ESLAI. It is difficult, no doubt. But I'm confident I will eventually find what I need. Plus, the longer I look, the more I save. So it will all just naturally work itself out, for me to find the absolute best fit for myself.

Good thinking

Save as much as you can and buy a very nice one

Take a look at my SSM base model. They don't get much better

I'm looking into another GT3 so I'd probably consider 25k for a fast sale

Yeah, I like that one you have. But my current savings is $20k. I seem to always be to short on money. When I had $10k, I had my eyes on one for $15k. When I had $15k, I found a couple nice ones I wanted to get that were $20k. Now I have $20k, and it's the same story! Haha! My Standards have gone up. So has the frustration level. Watching cars sell that I want isn't fun. The process can be exhausting. Feels like a second job sometimes. I'm like some kind of lunatic! Here, autotrader, craigslist, along with other websites that are less known. But, I will not give up. Never. My car is out there, and I'm confident that I will eventually find it. I definitely don't want to make a wrong decision by getting impatient though.

YEP

I think 25k right now is the sweet spot for a good car.

That said next year it might be 30 LOL.... but I don't see it going much higher than 30 anytime soon. Too many decent cars out there.

Hell you may want to consider the low mileage MB touring I have. You can always cut the top off and make it a base for about 2k

Haha. No way would I do that to an FD. I'd keep the sunroof if I go the touring route. I actually like the touring. But the only 1 I sat in, it seemed like a snug fit, headroom wise. Maybe a seat modification to get the seat an inch lower is possible. Not sure. Not sure i would need it. I've only sat in 1 touring for a few seconds, and 1 makeshift base that actually did have the roof hacked off, and replaced by a different color roof. Pettit racing tried to sell me that car. (I Knew cause my buddy noticed. it was obvious when I popped the trunk. inside the hatch it changed from black to red with some nasty gummy looking stuff in between the 2 colors. Dude that worked there acted like he had no clue prior to us pointing it out. ) Would hate to be uncomfortable while driving the car though . So, my entire physical experience with the FD is sitting in those 2 cars for a few seconds each. Never have I even drove one.

The low mileage touring you have...That's a nice car too. Sounds like it's out of my current price range already though. From what I've read.

Hassle Fritz until he sells you a car in your budget. That's what I'd do. Lol

Hahaha, ZoomZoom! ........ Well, the journey continues. I never imagined I'd have a $20k budget. I am happy I've come this far. Even with this new budget, I am STILL looking. So I'll just keep saving... I have faith my car is out there!

I have a very nice 94 Touring SSM 5 speed. Just had motor, tranny, turbos, fuel system, and a lot more built and balanced by Steve Kan at PRT Performance in Lewisville, TX. If you're interested I have it listed on Autotrader. I thought it was listed on here too but I don't see it anymore. Please feel free to text me at 479-531-8627 for more info. I'm asking $28,900 but willing to negotiate I suppose. Happy Holidays!

Wow - I just checked Autotrader for the first time in awhile and it looks like someone hijacked my listing. I see a Silver 95 PEP but all of the pics are of my car!! Maybe this is a glitch but I'm a little concerned now!!

Try craigs list Sarasota, 93 red, has been on the market and Ebay for a while I made an offer which they rejected, still on the market for almost a year. My offer was close to their asking price, $20 k might snag it

I'll check that out RTC45. Thank you. Oh yes. I've seen that one. Yes, I remember seeing that car on Craigslist before. It's nice. I remember it originally being $22k, then $21, then $20, then $19. That person wasn't able to sell it I suppose, cause it has reappeared at $22k again. Nice car, but $22k is to much for a car with almost 70k miles. The owner told me that he has already rejected an offer of $20k. Then proceeded to tell me that his personal mechanic told him that he should get it painted and sell it for $30k or more! Well, i laughed at that, and figured it was probably a good idea to not talk to this owner again, as i could see that I clearly have a different sense of value than him. Haha. Doesn't seem to want to negotiate either, and I really didn't want a car with that many miles, but sometimes the price is right. Well, in this case, the price is not right. I'll pass. Thank you again RTC45.

good luck in your search. I got lucky and found one in Jensen Beach with under 32K miles, one owner. The car had sat up for several years. It is sorted out and runs fine, Eventually the right car will pop up.

Thank you NoPis10. That's a nice car. I was in contact with this guy for awhile and seriously considering this car. Never was able to link up to actually see it, and then the speedo was having issues so he told me he took the dash apart in hopes of fixing it himself. Not sure what the end result was, but I've lost interest.
