Had to get the 7 before the home, cause you know, home ownership costs $$, which means less mods for the 7 (keep the mod addiction controlled).

For those of us under 50, barely, like me , I am simply re-embracing my teen years when I purchased my first FB. I was a super tuner before there was such a thing. To hear me coming down the road with my headers, exhaust, racing clutch and carbs was a unique note indeed. Now I am fortunate to be able to build the FC and FD I always dreamed of. Call me old (er) of the group. Nothing to be ashamed of here. Life is about passion, enjoy what you do.

Bought mine in '92 when I was 49. And from '79 through '93 I had a 1st-gen RX7. Sold that when I realized I barely had time for 1 RX7, let alone 2.

Bought my first rotary in 81 when I was 26. Bought the FD in 03 at 48. Yeah...old guy here. And I like red cars, that's my FIRST car on the right.

Wow Jim that Deluxe is gorgeous. Is it a 51 or 52?

Edit- Question: what's the difference between a Bel Air and a Deluxe?

Thanks Montego. Good eye on the years, most people don't get that close. As I understand it , in 52 (my car) the Belair denoted the "hardtop convertible" (no B pillar) what we usually just call a hardtop. Mine is technically a "Deluxe". "Cherry Red" was a convertible only color.

In my love rush moment I said older is better and had the cash for it. I had a crutch rocket and another car when I got my fd and sold the bike, but I can let go the fd... I am hooked now and no many wife and/or girlfriend knows the love for the fd.. lol... love novel

BC Poll Ideas

Perhaps a poll for "how long have you owned your FD or FDs"?

I've had my 1999 RHD Series 8 since April, 2015.
