Agreed - a good idea I had forgotten about until yesterday.
Funny part is I did a search today on coil relocation and I apparently thought about doing this way back in 2002 and never did?....strange....

I agree its a clean job and a good idea to move them out of the oven. I had my coils there for a month or two but missed my cruse control and moved them to the front of the engine bay along with my fuse box. They both sit where the battery used to be. I have some pictures but your guys get the idea. I have had them there now for over 5k and everything is working fine. There is just not enough room in the engine bay. I am in Ca. and have all the emission systems there, not all still working as designed but there.

both trailing and leading coils are fine, the biggest thing to remember is to have good plug wires along with clean connections. I had to make another coil harness but its really elementary and anyone can do this type of thing.
