Here's a video of the idle. When I started recording, I had already dragged the idle down using the clutch. When the car is given any throttle (enough to bring the RPMS above 1200) it begins surging again.

And does this occur as the engine is in the process of warming up or fully warmed or both?

Warmed. When it's Cold it idles high for like 5 seconds, then it drops and I have to keep it running with the accelerator.

Alright Satch, I unplugged the TPS after driving it home (roughly 10 miles). I also shortly before that adjusted it using the test light method from that second link you left here.

When the video starts it is high idle and surging like always. Then I unplug the TPS (when I put the phone down) and it turns from a high surging idle to a high rough idle. I brought the engine speed down by forcing the throttle back a bit, and it idles the way it always does when you slow the engine down.

Unplugging the TPS stops the surging, but the high idle remains as long as nothings slowing down the engine.

I'd say about 1200-1500, didn't really check the tach, just listened to it.

I was wondering if anyone knew where the Pressure sensor vacuum line is supposed to plug into, I was looking in the engine bay and I saw that it has its line just dangling there and I could not find a vacuum nipple to put it on. It's the sensor right in front of the passenger side strut tower. I have a feeling this might play a role in the surge...

If it's not connected to the vacuum port and the port is not capped then you have a vacuum leak which would affect the engine's operation. Look at the ACV and above that should be a port which it would connect to (caveat is that's how it is on an S4 NA and thus it might be different on your car).

General idea for an S5 turbo: (bottom pic in thread)

There are two vacuum ports above the ACV. One was capped, one was not. I plugged it in to the one that's not. Still no change.

I have however discovered that when I turn the AC on max, it stops surging and idles at a consistent high idle around 2000rpm. Also, I forgot to mention that when the car is first started (hot or cold), it doesn't begin to surge until after about 1-3 minutes.

I am completely stumped guys. I'm really struggling to not take it to a mechanic. I have always fixed my own vehicles and my family's, but this issue has me completely stumped. I feel like taking it to a mechanic would be defeat...

What is causing you to dismiss the water thermosensor as a possible cause? If nothing then perhaps you might want to check it.

The check engine light went out, and the thermosensor is recent, but the idle has-been an issue since I got the car.

Doesn't mean the plug connection is good though (visually looking is not good enough here).

It needs to be checked at the ECU.
