Why do I misfire after 3800! (not 3800 hesitation though)

In the driveway, I can raise the throttle S L O W L Y and just as i cross from 3700-4000 RPM, the car acts like its "missing".

Kinda like missing on a 4/6 cyl engine.

I just put new injectors in and those are fine, this problem existed PRIOR to the new injectors too.

Plugs are new, and if it were an ignition thing, wouldn't that cause a problem in the entire range of operation?

What would cause this to happen only after the secondary injectors kick in???

Im checking everything in section F1 of the factory manual now.
(N/A Fuel system and intake)

I think is a fuel related thing, but what failure would cause injectors to not operate right?

Any ideas?
Its all that Im lacking on this 1990 GXL to have th engine perfect.

The secondaries will not open in the driveway when you reach 3800 rpm unless you do something abnormal like take the vac hose off the boost/pressure sensor. So I'd say its the primaries or the electrical system i.e. wires.

And to clarify, if I drive down the hwy and apply gentle pressure on the pedal , I can acheive eighty mph without the secondaries opening. That over 3800 in forth gear. More like 4500, I think.
