Wheel Bearing Puller -- Front Chases stuck
Looking for advise for pulling the front wheel bearing chase(s) in an 88Rx.
There are no channels in the wheel hub to pound them out, ala a punch. My dad swears there should be groves in there designed for just this purpose... to no avail.
So I made 3 "access points" (120 deg apart) to pound from.
Couple questions...
Is a wheel bearing puller a common item... perhaps going by a different name? And thoughts where to find one...?
Suppose these chases are stuck... what is a reasonable amount of stress before I should re-think the process?
Any other experiences removing the bearing chase(s)?
I suppose they shouldn't be in there so tight?
THanks!

Ok, mystery solved... its not just me... Mazda really did pull one over.
I had thought about making some punch points... the pics were more agressive than I was thinking.
The links gave me the nod to go ahead.
Glad I asked first.
Great links... Shop Manual is a real bonus.
