what type of fluid you use in the hydraulic clutch,dot 3or 4 brake fluid right?

what type of fluid you use in the hydraulic clutch,dot 3or 4 brake fluid right?
i need to replace my clutch slave and fill the resevoir with fluid, you use dot 3 + brake fluid to fill it ? i read in my manual and on the cap of the resevoir thats what you use, but i am just double checking
