What does it do? What is it 'fusing'?

I need to know because im redoing all the wiring in my engine bay..

I had a quick look in the FSM, but couldn't find where i should even be looking

its for your signals, interior lights, sunroof, car alarm if you have one, tailights and other stuff.

I just took a quick look at the FSM and i'm lost. You know as much as i hear people talk bad about hondas, atleast they can make a decent SM and ETM, even the early 80's models had easy manuals to follow.

If you take a look at page 50-12 on the online FSM you can see the power distribution section, you may be able to locate the fuse from there. Good luck.

It's that sixty amp fuse that feeds that buss bar I colored/ID'd in RED. It feeds every thing that branches off from that bus bar and more.

When your ECU messes up and you want to reset it, you pull the EGI and BTN fuse. BTN stands for "Back to Normal".

BTN stands for Body/Tail/iNterior. It protects the HAZARD, ANTENNA, ROOM, STOP, ILLUM and ABS fuses in the cabin fuse box, which in turn protect the hazard lights, antenna, ECU memory, brake lights, tail lights, ABS, power locks, clock, horn, illumination, stereo, HVAC, interior lights and alarm.

FYI....The ECU has one wire going to it from the BTN. But you can depin that wire from the ECU or pull that fuse and the car will run just fine. Pin 3J

The rewiring is comming along quite well now, just have to grab a few circuit brakers for the BTN/MAIN/HEAD&RETRACTOR fuses....

Will have to take a shot of the engine bay when it's all done, most of the wiring should be quite well hidden. (compared to stock, i'm not talking show car/hot rod style here )

That's for the ECU's memory. I have no idea exactly what it "remembers" though.

maaaann...

Mazda must have been on crack when the did the wiring for FC's...

The front harness is an absolute mess hey... looped wires folding back about a meter on themselves...

Wires spliced into two branches then brought back into one branch again later on in the harness..

Not to mention that I found an Olllddd alarm/central locking computer that looks like it was installed by a monkey on LSD..

Oh well.. It's all gone now.. no more worries...

On a slightly different note, what the hell is the throttle switch used for?
The one that is connected directly to the accelerator pedal...

I tried to trace it through the wiring diagram.. but alas, got a bit lost..

I've NEVER seen this switch you talk about. Has anybody else ever seen the switch described?

THere is a switch on my ccelerator pedal. I think it is for AAS(I remember reading it somewhere in the FSM.) I have not clue what it does.
