something else going wrong

Well, I seem to have a problem on acceleration. When I'm accelerating past half throttle, right when I get to about 5600 rpms my check engine light comes on and my car starts sputtering when I give it anything more that half throttle. It idles fine when the light is on but when I put it in gear I has no power and sputters in neutral when I give it more that half tgrottle like it's missing. When I shut the car off it resets and the light doesn't come back on until I hit 5600. Please help and thanks in advance. Car is stock and didnt start doing this until I put an exhaust on it and gutted the cat a few weeks ago

S5? If so my guess is OMP and ECU, Usually the limp mode kicks in before 5500rpm, but these electric omps do some strange things

pull codes, sorry i left my crystal ball at home.

TPS or OMP as Iduley said are the most common causes for that symptom.
