rx7 mods

hi all,new to this forum.
i drive a 600hp nissan skyline gtr.
ive just bought a stock 87 rx7 convertible auto as my everyday run around car,but its sadly lacking in performance compared to my gtr.
can anyone tell me some simple and cheap mods i can peform and what sort of power gain.
im not real keen on throwing money at it,but i was thinking decent exhaust, aircleaner and a boost increase.am i heading in the right direction.

there is an american company called racing beat that sells a complete exhaust system for the tII. along with this system a fuel cut defencer will be necessary, along with the fuel cut defencer an upgrade in fuel delivery will be necessary. if you pick the walbro pump for fuel delivery, total cost for all of these parts will be approximately $1000. the company claims something like 55hp to the wheels.

Are you being funny????...you actually compared your 600HP Nissan Skyline to a 87 RX7. Im assuming its a non turbo since you mentioned auto. Well if you want to get your 7 to run like you want it to then slap a 3Rotor+ huge single turbo+ fmic+ more fuel+ exaust+ a standalone comp+ and some other ****. After that you will regret having that skyline.

they have Turbo Auto trannies in japan, and all verts are turbo's in japan
and australia is the same as far as i know.
So its probly a turbo vert w/ beefy turbo auto tranny.
bah, did you read that right, he only wants to put a little into it. sheesh
although itd be so much easier and cheaper in australia since you're abundant w/ rotary tuners and cosmos.
go for it :-D

if you have a 600 hp skyline, I'm assuming you know SOMETHING about cars.. I hope... If it is an auto vert TURBO, then get rid of the auto tranny =) Take your skyline engine out and put it all in the seven, that will get it to run with your skyline haha

Yer funny... =)

As you can tell, it's not always such a good idea to ask Americans somethig like that. Our cars, aftermarket parts suppliers, and tuners, are somewhat different than yours. Alex can hook you up.

Wink

You can send it to me, I'll upgrade it for you then race your skyline for the owners documentation. Sounds like a win win scenario to me. If I win I get the skyline also, If I loose I'll keep the RX-7 and continue doing upgrades for free. You can't beat that deal
