my oil pressure is always just about maxed out but after it warms up and idles low its around half but when i touch the gas its jammed back up to full. also theres a leak on the huge bolt that feeds the oil cooler could this be the problem. and ive been havgin a problem with my car, i start ti it runs fine and idles ok warms up when i take it for a ride and drive it around liek 10-15 minuts later i have a drastic loss of power. and the cat is steeming. could there be a clog? also the cat is new along with the exahst but the last motor that was in was leaking antifreez into it (blown) could the cat be makign my car run like a go cart with 5 gears. also it idles around 250 really low it shakes like a wet dog when it gets around 500, but for some reson it doesnt stall lol thoguht it was the fuel filter but nope. (n/a 1987 120,000 mile engine.)

Man, you might have a couple of different problems there...

I've never heard of a cat clogging after 10-15 minutes, then reset itself to unclog until the next time she's heated up, lol...

Have you done a compression check lately?

Checked your timing lately?

Have you tapped on the oil pressure sender unit with a screwdriver while she's running to see if the gauge changes?

haha no,no and no, lol well it doesnt reset after i turn it off its still screwed unlill like a couple hours or so go by, but the last engine leaked coolant in the cat and my auto mech teacher mentioned that coolant will gum up and become like a past ro something, and i donno really it steams when i run the car for awhile, but no collant come out the back end and ti doesnt burn blue or green or anythign, but yah i havent ever done a compression test donno how, and it does liek feel like its skipping when its not warmed up like it makes a puh noise when its idling ever couple seconds but its been doing that since i got the new engine in, how do i change timing if that could be a problem.
