Red Hot Exhaust Manifold

I need help, i got an 1989 Rx7 T2 i just took it on my first drive, while out it poped the intercooler line off so i pulled over to put it back on. itw was darkr out when it happened and when i opend the hood the exhaust manifold was glowing bright red! could this be the pressure sensor on the passenger fender well???? maybe not sensing boost and under fueling??????? any help would be great ....thanks....rob

Get out the good ol' timing light and set that eccentric shaft position sensor (what looks like the distributor) because your timing is off and needs to be adjusted because right now, it is burning the F/A mixture in the turbo and downpipe, so fix that ASAP

Glow bright red, or dull red? Dull is reasonable. Bright red is not.

it wasnt bright but it wasnt dull kinda in the middle, it was realy dark out though. i checked the timing it was good i was on it hard, took it froom 0 to about 140mph slowed down, turned and got on it again had to about 80 than the intercooler line came off, and ipulled over, thats when i saw it all red....plus my boost gauge in the dash isnt working right i put an autometer oine in and the boost is right but i dont know if my pressure sensor is bad and maybe affecting the fuel richness or something...???? just dont want to mess my new car up ya know....
