Plugged climate control into blower box. now hazards are on and won't turn off.

I'm talking about the plug behind the glovebox.

Even with the climate control unplugged from the harness behind the radio,and still plugged into the blower box, still hazards are on and won't turn off.

Any ideas?

Yeah, I'm assuming it has to do with factory alarm, but why when I plug in the blower box

When the hazard button is depressed it places a ground on the Light Green wire which activates the hazards. The Light Green wire also runs to the alarm, so good call made by you. It really doesn't make sense at first glance why plugging in the blower causes your alarm unit to spaz out. What you could do is return things to as close to normal as they were and then take a voltage reading from some of the alarm control pins/wires and then plug in the item causing the snafu and then retake the voltage measurements from the alarm unit.

OK I'll have to try that. Any idea what the transparent/blue connector behind the glove box goes to?

Not familiar w/the Blue connector. And how many wires are in the plug which goes to the blower? Are they 8 in number. If so, then one might be Black/Red which runs to an item (starter cut relay) which runs to the alarm unit so that might be of help.

I did this same thing, you have it plugged into the wrong plug, the long set of wires off the back of the logicon go to a plug under the windshield vents

When you plug it into the plug by the glove box, the hazards kick in, i asked the exact same question about a year ago

There's a clear white connector (has about 8 wires) that sits up on a metal bracket on the Blower motor that actually goes to NOTHING.(maybe A/C but my car had none..so dunno..didn't care).

Iduley is right..the Logicon has a connector on the firewall,under the Driver's long dash vents.
If you pop the flat metal piece of the dash, you can "just see" the connector.
It is to the Driver's side of the middle of the firewall.(see the bolt hole for the small 5/32 bolt that held the metal on?..right there!!!).
Mazda really gives you a chore to plug this thing in ..or unplug it.
Snake a piece of string through the dash and you can use it to grab the connector of the logicon and bring it up through to plug it in.

Awesome! I'll look into this as soon as I get a chance. Hopefully I won't have to Remove the dash again.

Found the plug and plugged in the logicon. After replacing the "cool air" fuse, the blower and door worked like a charm. Thanks for all the help. The main purpose of this was to fix my defrosters/defoggers before fall/winter.

Now if I can only find where those heater core hoses ran off too...
