Ok i was driving my car this morning and everything was fine, i filled up and went and got rdy for the day. I went back outside and car wouldnt start, i was fethering the gas a lil. Do you think that my car could of got flooded?!?!?!?! its turning over and everything. any advise would help, thx

yes its prolly flooded take out 2 of the spark plugs on each rotor turn it over put em back in should start if not im not shure post back on what happens

hehe when i lived in my old house and it would get could id close the garage open the door to my house turn the header on in the house and in about 30 min i got the garage warm... enough to work on the car at least

RX7's are also known for not always starting when it's really cold, and you probably did flood it. Like TwEaK said take out 2 spark plugs (I usually take out the leading) and pull the EGI fues, its the green one in the underhood fuse block. Then crank, you can see fuel vapor if the car is flooded pretty bad. Also you might want to put a towel over the electrical and other stuff that is right near there, cuz it could get coverd in gas.

actually I just figured (was told this) out another way....just pull the EGI COMP and EGI INJ fuses and crank it over for a few seconds.... then wait about 10secs and then turn it over again...put the fuses back in and (the important part) disconnect the brake booster vacuum line(trust me on this one) and crank it over...just as it starts to START quickly hold your finger over the vacuum line (to keep it from causing a vac leak)...the car should return to normal idle...just quickly connect the line back and your done....YES i KNOW YOU MIGHT BE SKEPTICLE ABOUT THIS (I KNOW I WAS) BUT I BET YOU IT WILL CRANK RIGHT UP...sometimes this takes more than one try depending on how bad the flooding was!
The reason for this is it allows more air in...why the booster vac line--its the biggest vac line!!
This has worked 100% of the time for me!!!

My TII flooded so badly a few weeks ago that even after sitting overnight, it wouldn't crank until we push-started it. Hopefully you can get yours going without such a chore.

BTW, if your car did flood and it did require several tries to get it unflooded, you should probably consider putting in new spark plugs.

I learned long ago that if you start your -7, leave it run until you get movement on the temp gauge. Otherwise it floods.

I carry a little pump oil can with motor oil in it. When I screw up and manage to flood it, I pull the leading plugs, give a couple squirts of oil (ATF works too) and put the plugs back in. It usually starts right up.
