car runs better with the 02 sensor unplugged

i installed my buddies plx wideband on the car to tune my car a little cause it was to rich(i have a s-afc and a walbro 255)..and it also had a mid throttle hesitation(didnt hesitate at a certain rpm but at around 50% throttle) but when i put in the wideband 02 sensor it didnt have the hesitation and i tuned the car but didnt hook up the 02 reading to the ecu so the ecu is getting no o2 reading and the car was running good..then i took out the wideband and put in the stock o2 sensor and plugged it in and was getting that hesitation again..so i unplugged the o2 sensor and the car runs better..my question is how bad is it to run without no o2 sensor signal to the ecu

thanx in advance for any info

Running without the O2 sensor means that you will run pig rich in certain conditions. If your O2 sensor is causing hesitations then it is probably bad. Try hooking the wideband to your ECU and see what happens.

dont dissconnect the normal o2 when tuening ...
look at the wb o2 when the hessitation happends, maby you can adjust the apexi to fix it ...

wb o2 sensor gives 0 to 5 V. (some wb also have a 0-1 output that you can use to connect to the ecu)
nb o2 0 to 1 ... so dont feed the 5V to you ecu ...

/bo

hey just had an idea. If you unplug the o2 sensor and you have a safc you could essentially just tune that and it would be normal again right?

Why don't you...replace the O2 sensor?

thats what i was thinking because instead of the ecu controlling the fuel by the o2 signal now my s-afc controls the fuel..
