guys 90 percent of the time my handbrake light is on now and seems that give it more or less gas sometimes it turns on or off, much like the rest of my gauges in that cluster now, could be coincidence. I am also losing brake fluid and i checked all of the lines in the wheel wells and i dont see any leakage so where the hell else would it be if it isnt on the master cylinder? And maybe that smell is the fluid burning off of the cat? BTW - my handbrake is really weak

If your brake fluid reservor is low that turns on the brake light on your logicon. The way the shops find a brake fluid leak is to put a blacklight dye in your brakefluid. Your hand brake is not hydraulic. Its mechanical.

You car have ABS???? of so... look under the ABS motor...
I found that all my brake fluid was running down onto the frame rail and eating the paint off before dropping to the ground (and getting on the midpipe as well).
Check the brake lines that run down under the car, could be leaking.
As for your handbrake... check the rear brake pads.. the handbrake is mechanical, shouldn't be affected by low fluid. I bet your rear pads are shot.
