It beeps all the time! Even with the engine running and the wheels turning.

How about placing voltage to the Blue wire in the CPU plug while the car is beeping. You can jumper voltage from the Blue/Red wire located just above the Blue wire. Check to see if the Blue wire still has no voltage (the Black wire a few slots down from the Blue wire is a ground and could be used by the meter).

Sorry about the double post. I conducted the test you recommended and the meter read "1".

That's 1 volt w/the jumper wire supplying voltage to the blue wire?

Depinning is the removing of the wire by releasing the metal tab inside the plug and pulling the wire out of the back of the plug. Depin the Blue wire.

Hope that wasn't too hard. Now if you installed the plug back into the CPU do you still get the blasted beeping.

Alas, still beeping. If I buy a new board, will that solve this problem?

Damn your board. When you find the time you should measure the voltage readings of each pin in the largest plug while the beeping is occurring and w/o it occurring. You could also try and sticking a paper clip inside the plug where the vacated spot is (removed blue wire slot) while the beeping is occurring and take a voltage reading and compare it to the reading when there is no beeping.

And one more thing. Does the beeping occur w/the car running and the lights off?

And if you're willing to put in the time you could depin the other wires one at a time and see if that stops the beeping. Leave the Black wire (ground), Blue/Red wire (room fuse) and Black/Yellow wire (meter fuse) alone but the other wires/pins are fair game.

If the problem was the largest board it would be rather expensive to buy new, if you could find one, and you're not guaranteed at this point that it is 100% the problem.

It's your wallet but you might want to focus on a few pins as opposed to all. They would be Red/Black, Light green/Red, both Green/Black wires and the Brown/Black wire if equipped.

I ordered one from Mazdatix on Friday. No go.

Ordered one from Atkins on Saturday. Still waiting to hear.

Wish I'd have heard from you first Styx.

Just resolder them. Heat up the joints and reflowing is all ya need most of the time. Don't go crazy with it, just hot enough to flow, maybe add a touch more solder and be done. I did mine about 15 years ago. Hasn't done it again since.

I replaced the CPU board. It fixed the problem. I'm going fora drive.

Thanks all. Especially, Satch.
