88 vert manual transmission issue! DD so need help fast

Just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing. The car gave out on me while driving to work and was making a high frequency metal on metal rubbing noise. I pulled the trans and found the pilot bearing pretty much destroyed so I replaced the above and bled the slave cylinder. Now the car still makes the noise but won't go into 1st and 4th but goes into every other gear! At a stand still now so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Noise in all the gears?
Full gear oil?
Any looseness in the main gear?
Make certain nobody's in front., put the car in first and start, see if car moves forward.
If the car jerks forward, then more work needed.

Pop the gear shifter (remove shifter surround, undo 3 10mm bolts, pull straight up) and see if the shifter bushing has disintegrated. They are prone to break and can hinder the path of the shifter so you may only be able to select certain gears.
As far as the grinding noise?..it is anyone guess. It could be trans related or be somewhere on the car that you still did not check.

Honestly using the wrong kind of gear oil can cause a manual gearbox to not go in to a gear. Just add that to the list of the above.
