Looks like your on the right path to getting it done, but I know how frustrating these things can be. I'm sure it will look great when your done though

He mounted the coolant reservoir and modified the intercooler to how it should have been.

It's a slow kind of thing. But I'll keep you guys posted as I get new updates.

On another note, sorry if I've been slacking on checking the forum lately. Had a semi-warm week where I got to ride the ninja (3 times so far this year ), and now my mind is on that.

Going there hopefully tomorrow to check it out in person and decide how far I want to take things and budget. It's not going to be cheap... but it's coming out hella fresh. Totally worth it in my eyes for a car I plan to keep for many many rebuilds. lol

Radiator pipes were modified. No more retarded RotaryWorks elbow to the ground so you bottom out feature. Also the top nozzle was remade to no longer get in the way of the bracket that holds the radiator up. Greddy throttle body inlet pipe was modified to have a nice elbow. No more 45* silicone air couplers! Yay!

I just started installing mine on saturday. As with all the other kits just about every hole needed to be slotted. The radiator went in pretty easy (I already had the lower water neck moved to the side) The intercooler fit in ok too. My problems right now are what to do about the lower radiator hose and I can't even come close to fitting a filter on the front of my turbo.

Hmm... Are you running a stock turbo? I have the stock turbo (will run bnr hybrid) and from a quick glance while I was at the shop, it seemed as if I had enough room for a regular gauze or foam filter. Keep in mind that I will run the fd apex'i unit and will not need a maf. If you need to retain the maf, you are going to have to get clever with piping and probably have to squeeze a hks foam filter in some where.

With the lower radiator hose, I assume you could one of three things: get a flexible hose, weld piping to the nozzle to make it so all you need is a short hose, make a pipe and use two couplers to join the two.

Post pictures! I would love to see how it's coming along and if we both had all the same issues.

I'll take some pics in the next couple of days.

I am using the HKS manifold and GT35R turbo so the front of the turbo is about 3-5mm away from the top water neck on the radiator. I just bought a supercharger/turbo inlet screen from paxton. I think that should work fine.

I'm using the stock oil cooler and the stock oil cooler lines no longer make it to the cooler in it's new mounted position. So I need to deal with that as well.

Hotrod headaches as they say

I would try to get clever with relocating the top water nozzle so you can at least toss a foam filter on it. Mine has to be modified anyways because it wouldn't reach with the supplied 45 coupler! And it got in the way of the radiator top mounting location, which DentSport didn't end up using anyways because the lower bracket was way off and the radiator wouldn't meet those bent brackets the kit came with.

More updates sent to me. I'm heading up there tomorrow again. So glad this is getting done the right way. Thank you DentSport. I'd buy them all beers, but I don't know if thats against their work policy there. lol

Next thing is oil cooler mounting behind the radiator with proper ducting for fresh air! (and use of stock lines)

Will get a better photo when the car is finished and on the ground. As of now, it doesn't look much lower than the side parts of the car. However, if you left the lower radiator nozzle pointing downward as it came with the kit, it would be much lower. The bottom bracket had to be modified to work too.

It's lookin real good. I ordered a few things to assist with my installation. a couple new silicone couplers, a universal 36" radiator hose(for the lower water neck), -10an lines and fittings for the oil cooler, and a paxton screen to cover up my turbo inlet. I think it will work ok. I will have to deal with ducting at some point, but I'm not sure about it yet. I'll post pics this weekend.

OK so to make this kit work I needed to do a few things.

I had to get a pipe and flange for my HKS BOV

I had to create my own oil lines because the stock ones wont reach to the new oil cooler position

The radiator neck was way too close to my turbo, so a filter wasn't an option. I ended up buying a screen from paxton to solve it.

I bought a universal radiator hose for the lower neck. I think it will work ok.

I will need to make some ducting

@rxilver7 How was the fitment of the brackets for ya? I noticed that your top radiator nozzle looks different than mine did.

Vmount is all done for me. I still need to get oil cooler lines, spal fan and mitsubishi evo bov. I will be picking it up Saturday and will have more pictures of the end result then.

Soon I will own an older red f150 4x4. Hopefully I can find a used trailer for the fc. After that, it's saving for a rebuild time!

^^ I'm going to do dual oil coolers sometime myself. I have that setup on u FD V-mount and it's righteous. For me all the brackets fit ok other than the holes needing to be slotted. My technique for doing this install was putting everything in loosely and after everything fit then going around and tightening everything. If I didn't have an HKS manifold and GT35R turbo the upper water neck wouldn't be so close to the front of the turbo. For the line from the upper water neck to the burper tank I just used one of my old radiator hoses and cut a section out of it that would fit. Seems to work. I'll try to get a video of the car running.
