Actually yeah, main reason why i did this render because i needed an idea of how an extremely wide panels would look on the FC. I am trying to get together some people at the local community college that need a project that are in welding, fiberglassing, metal programs. Just to see who is interested. If not, id just do it myself, but im currently in school and looking for a job so i cant spend to much time on fabbing up the kit.
I am actually not that serious about it at this point until i can get some other projects done first. OR find a job and save up some cash for materials.
Looks great!
My only suggestion is to soften the edges from the top of the fender to its side. I'm not a big fan of the sharp edges on many of the kits as they don't flow well with the rest of the cars lines. The RE front bumper you rendered has the nice rounded transition I'm talking about...just continue that.

Your absolutely right about softer edges, on many kits it takes away from the bodylines. My only argument with this is that GTC bodies typically have sharp edges to divert airflow to other chambers in the body to promote aerodynamics. The design i made was directly referenced to JGTC GT Touring, and Formula cars and obviously they don't have much soft edge fender lining. The look of the car isn't that big of a deal for me, its how well i can modify the flow of air around the car is where i was going with this design. Thanks for your input tho, If i were to market a kit it would have softer edges.
Wow...that looks amazing...I really like how you did the door vent area...

This is like a Super GT concept if they still ran the FC in teh 300 class. I can see resemblance to the FD + NSX cars in this hahah
Are you using a graphics tablet or just mouse? i been wanting to try out a tablet.
Hahaha i knew you would spot the NSX in there somewhere! Id think the FD in the picture would also be more obvious. Dude you need to use a tablet, its the only way to go, i am using a Wacom Intuos 3, and photoshop CS4.

Also with a kit that wide your going to need 355's or something stupid to full the rears.
Ive got 285's under my standard 30mm Widebody, yours is going to be 150mm+
Yeah picking out the wing was hard, if it was clearly for style i would have just gone with a short surface generator or no wing at all. The dippped side generators on the wing was a difficult choice for me, typically i hate that design but actually does have a function vs short surface generators. My inspiration for the dip was taken from DTM class Mercedes and a highwing Mclaren F1. I just figured the FC might benefit from it more without really any sort of testing.
Your 30mm wide panels is child's play compared to how much wider these GTC class cars panels are. Here are a few references and examples i used.
i am in the process of mocking up the rear section shot, and i need to know. should i keep the S4/S5 tail lights? or come up with a completely new light design? If i do go with new lights, would you rather see bars or circles?
If you have have ideas please feel free to share along with references if you can provide.
With all the custom work and the usage of circles for the side indicator and turn signals...maybe some circular LED's like Revolution's time attack FD would look good...

I think you should completely redo the tails. Here you have this monster widebody kit all modern and concepty.......to throw s4 or5 tails in might be out of place.
tails should be on some scuderia 430 ****. (yeah i get my pictures from ebay...just like everything else)
But......... maybe if you did 3 versions of the *** end s4,s5 and moddedcrazy......then conducted a poll.
I dont know anything about designing graphics and 3 versions might be a rediculous amount of work...............what ever you choose, i am sure it will be tasteful like the rest of your design.
