BOV on endtank?

I'm v-mounting my intercooler with 4 inch piping on the cold side. I am curious whether has anyone put the BOV at the intercooler end tank on the cold side without any performance deficit during gear shift. I was also contemplating on putting water injection nozzles on the same side of the intercooler. I wanted to move it closer to the compressor to avoid possible surge due to the larger volume now added to the cold side and to improve air flow on the cold side... I may be overthinking this which is usually the case. I just wanted to hear your thoughts before I weld them on. Thank you!
