20b Auto box valve body solenoids question (and 13b)

Hi,

I have a specific question about the valve body on these gearboxes. Trying to wire it up to a TCU, and I am looking for information about the Lock up control solenoid (labelled as such in the FSM). Im trying to figure out under what circumstances it should be operated, and how it should be operated, e.g is it PWM like the Lock up solenoid (don't think it is, but not sure).

I know these gearboxes are similar to the Nissan 300ZX / patrol etc.. and the wiring diagrams and information on these have been helpful, but the extra solenoid is not present on the Nissan versions.

At the moment, I'm tempted just to hook it up to be enabled the same time as the PWM Lockup solenoid, if I can not find an answer!

Thanks

Are you talking about the torque converter lock-up clutch control solenoid?

Yes, however there is two solenoids for lockup control on these valve bodies, and not sure if they are activated independently or not.

The FSM says they are active when there is lockup, so I am hoping they are activated at the same time.

Also, not sure if they are both PWM or not.

From the nissan version of these valve bodies, the "LOCKUP CONTROL SOLENOID" does not exist, its only the "LOCKUP SOLENOID" valve on those, so I am having difficulty finding extra info on it.

A few pics from the FSM to explain:

Image from the Nissan version to show the difference:

The mazda version has a lockup modifier valve, so I am now wondering if the valves operate independently under some circumstances to which affects the lock-up in some way.

Thanks

Lol, I think I found it. I have been looking for days now.

Just googled "Lockup modifier valve RX7" and found:
