Wrong Accelerator Pump Diaphragm in GP Sorensen Kit?

My carburetor has been leaking for a while from the Accelerator Pump Diaphragm so I finally purchased a kit to rebuild it but now that I've got it apart I see that the Accelerator Pump Diaphragm included with the GP Sorensen 96-555 kit is not the same as the original. Has anyone else had this issue with their GP Sorensen kit? If so, were you able to use it anyway without it leaking? It doesn't look to me like it is going to seal.

I already tried to get one from the dealer, but their carburetor rebuild kid does not include the Accelerator Pump Diaphragm

Fine that it doesn't have that little lip, or fine that it worked on yours or both?

Sorry, I really hate the thought of having to take it a second time once I put it back together.

lol

Just use it. The little lip doesn't do anything.

If you want to do an accell pump mod, you can more easily with the new long travel style you've got there.

Thanks Jeff.

One more question, is there any good reason not to use the kit supplied gasket between the thick factory gasket and carb? Not sure if I should just reinstall the way it came off or add the kit gasket between and I can't think of a good reason not to use the kit supplied gasket in between the factory gasket.

Do not ever use those gaskets that come in the kit. And do not ever tamper with the factory gasket on the phenolic spacer. It is permanently bonded and is reusable.
