That's right, this ain't no Datsun lol! Thanks for confirming as well as others. From what I remember at 80mph it's at like 5000 or 5100 rpm, but I'll see next time I drive it. A 5 speed will happen in the near future for sure.

You guys are really missing out on the sunroof, nothing more fun than cruising in the spring and fall with the roof off. I've never owned a car without one. To the OP, great car, a real gem.

Thanks man! I mean don't get me wrong, if my car had a sunroof when I was buying it I'd still buy it. Mine just happen to be a S model which don't come with one. I already own a car with a sunroof, so in that aspect it's not something I need for this car. Plus especially on the SA, it gives it more of a classic look which suits it

So I just took it out earlier and at 60 mph, it's at 3500 rpm. At 80, it's at 4750 rpm. Both readings in 4th gear of course.

I printed with the speeds correlated to mph in each gear. At one point my speedo was not up
to snuff and I had to use the cheat sheet to make sure I was not speeding in excess.
Speaking of the 85 mph speedo, I swapped mine for a 79 SA speedo that goes to 120 to
remedy my speedo issue.

Yeah check your cable. You can disconnect it from the tranny. Then you can pull it out of the cable casing
from below. Wipe it down, get it clean and then lube it with light oil or wd40. If you disconnect it from the
speedo and feel ambitious you can clean the casing with some solvent and an air gun. Don't put too much
lube on it when it goes back in or it may gum up the speedo mechanism.

Thank god I still have my SA
Been driving it here and there on the weekends but been itching to improve/modify it. My main upgrade at the moment would be to find a 79/80 5 speed and then put an 82/83 flywheel in the process

you’re right! My bad. Btw, for that flywheel would I be using my current counter weight or the one that would be coming off the 81/82 car? Thanks!
