She said that she thinks she has the original window sticker somewhere and when she comes across it she'll send it to me, so hopefully she find it
I'd follow up with that from time to time. The window sticker is the only way to currently document the engine is original to the car. This will only become more valuable in the future. Also, I'd see if she had any pictures of her uncle with the car. Start a history that can be passed on to future owners.
Yeah good idea, thanks! Interesting that is the only way to link the engine to the car. Just texted her asking if there's any luck yet coming across that window sticker.

So can the FB's still be looked up? The original warranty on SAs was 3 years / 50K miles. Pretty good actually for the day.

Wow, incredible specimen, it's museum quality!

And the white exterior on wine interior is sublime, no fading, perfect color tone, incredible.

If you paid anything less than $10,000 for the car, you got a terrific deal.

Of course it's not polite to ask, but how much did you get it for?

You might want to reconsider swapping out the 4 speed transmission for a 5 speed. There is a lot to be said for keeping things original on a car like that and the 4 speed is actually sportier and more fun to drive than a 5 speed, which has closer gear ratios. The only advantage of the 5 speed is for highway cruising, a bit better gas mileage and the engine doesn't have to spin so fast.

Thanks man appreciate it!
Yeah I'm going to change it to 5 spd at some point but I'll definitely hold on to the 4 spd on the side.
And yes, I definitely got it for much less than $10,000

Yeah I've mostly noticed on the freeway that I really need that 5th gear/overdrive. I feel like driving in 4th for a long time especially at higher speeds is no good for the motor I think. But it's definitely fun around town

You can run the engine at 5 or 6 k all day long with no worries. The 5th gear just helps with
cruising mpg is all.

Thanks man! Yeah I'm never going to replace the deck or stereo. For music I just bring my Bluetooth speaker called UE boom 2 in the car and it's more than enough.
