Anyone want to know the real weight of Diamond wheels here you go. I could have lived with the weight but in my experience the big problem is that they are out of round and unbalanceable. Even with up to 9oz of weights the car shook like a cement mixer

The stock waffle and plus wheels are only 12# but they are only 13" in diameter.

Not sure 16 or 17 will look very good with the 1st gen, too much wheel but its your car and
choice.

16 or 17 are fine for posing but when you look at the tire choices available 15 is the only answer for performance.

You know you are a 1st gen owner when you start to think anything bigger than a 15" wheel is too big.

Either way, The reason Konig rewinds do well is they are 14.5 lbs on a 15x7 rim. Which is pretty good when it comes to weight. I tried some steelies for a short time and boy, I have never felt rim weight like I did on this car or on a miata.

How in the actual F could you not like Epsilons? I just refinished mine and they're undeniably beautiful on an FB.

I actually really love Epsilons. I'm just interested in seeing what else is out there in the world for SA/FB's.

There's plenty of wheel post on here. Sky's the limit though. I have a FC subframe with 5x114.3

I think my 16" CCW LM20s look wonderful on the 1st gen. My car isn't slammed though. 16s are the biggest I would go. Anything bigger is definitely funny looking. There's a few good summer tire choices in 16" now. I'll be going with those SSR Formula Mesh with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s soon.

A late Christmas present to myself! 14x6.5 SSR Longchamps. The eBay auction listed offset as +5 but I haven't bothered measuring. With custom replica centre caps made from a solid plastic material as the proper ones are near impossible to find. Nice acrylic stickers with them also.

Just got Konig Rewinds installed. 15X7 with 195/50/15. Car has RB springs. Zero clearance issues.

Not sure; got them thru CarID. They did not specify offset but fitness was promised by them. I got 4 rims, 4 tires, mounted/balanced, install kit (new lug bolts and center caps) and shipping to my door for $750. Rim were 15x7, 4x110 pattern with 73.1mm hub and tires were Dunlop 195/50R15 V rated tires.

I'm about to put 15x7 Rewinds +20 offset on mine, with 205/50R15's. I have RB springs. There's contradictory info on the site as to whether they will fit. I don't want to dial back the tire size if I don't have to...

It will depend on your camber and springs up front. I have my RB cut down by 1 coil
and run -1 deg of camber and had to roll the fender lips a bit to clear the very outside
edge of the tires (DUNLOPs). It may vary by tire as well. You may have no
issues. I actually never noticed an issue until I started pushing the car very hard
at DGRR, so in light street driving it probably will never be an issue.

I'm glad you hopped in on this, I appreciate the info. It was some of your comments from earlier posts I was taking into consideration... I think you mentioned having to roll a fender on an SA - I'd prefer to back off the wheel/tire size before I do that. The RB springs I run are unmolested, and I run a stock alignment. I don't track mine, either...

Hey,

I did a alot of research into rims for my FB. If you are willing to pay the $$$ (which I was not) you can buy blank rims and get them drilled to the correct bolt pattern (4*110).

Several companies (Rota being one) will offer blank rims or custom orders for bolt patterns if you call them.

As an example (Maxxim are made by Konig). $980 Australian Dollars on Ebay:

You can find two different style Rota rims on Amazon that are perfect fit for SA/FB. Here are my 15x7 with 205/50R15 Yokohama S.Drive.

Picked these up off a 81 Datsun 280zx, only year they made them I guess. They're 15x6 and hopefully fit with a 205 50 15
