Diamond Racing wheels
I'm looking at a set of diamond racing steelies due to their cost, 4x110 bolt pattern, and their wide range of offsets, widths, and heights. They arnt pretty and they will make my rx7 look like a NASCAR but that's alright. My issue is weight. Their website lists them as low as 16lbs but I constantly hear people saying they are heavy with no numbers to back it up. Right now I believe our stock wheels and tires are around 26lbs? I'd like to be around 20lbs per corner.

For a steel wheel, they are very light. In fact, I believe that they are lighter than a lot of alloy wheels. I haven't actually weighed mine though...

The stock waffles and I think the cross wheels each weight about 12.5 lbs. Pretty
light and then add on the tire weight. The tires will be about 16 or 17 lbs.
The stock size sumitomo weighs 16 lbs. So thats 28.5 lbs. Not sure the steel wheel
will be any lighter than the stock wheel. It will come in wider widths than 5.5 inches
tho, so if thats what you need ...

what size/offset are those?
is there any way you could get the weight of them because it looks really good. I like the look a lot. I am in the middle of purchasing either 13" tires for the stock wheels, or getting new wheels.
Kentetsu, I see you autocross your car frequently and also daily drive it. Have you ever weighed it? I just weighed my car with full interior, except spare, jack, and rats nest. It weighed in at 2,360lbs with maybe 2 gallons of gas and NO driver. Obviously in racing, the less weight the better to a certain degree. Rotational mass is a big killer so I want to choose my wheels wisely. I have a second car so I don't need to DD this but it's hard not too... What am I looking at as far as wheel options go?

I bought a second-hand (but brand new) set of DR wheels a few years back. 15" w/ 4.5" backspace. They were quite light (under 20 pounds).

I weighed my car a year or two ago, and it was either 2280 or 2380 with a half tank of gas and my *** in the seat. I'll have to weigh her again this year since I can't remember which it was.
Here's a pic of my car with 13x8 wheels, and I believe 4" backspace. Just to give you an idea of how much they stick out past the fender. I like it just fine without flares, all the kids say it looks like a hotwheels car. lol.

They're light for steel wheels but a lot heavier than an alloy wheel of similar size.
On the other hand, try to find 13x7 or 13x9 alloy wheels for under $100 a pop...

Alright I think I'll end up giving the DR wheels a try. Right now I have the stock '85 4 spoke 13" wheels wrapped in bridgestone potenza re900 tires. I can't seem to find any info on them, but how do they compare to the summitos that everyone is buying for the 13"?

Remember they are racing wheels and not intended to be used on the street as they are not as strong as a wheel designed to resist potholes, etc.
Photobucket is currently down, but here is a picture of mine at Pocono (car is currently in the paint shop to fix those paint issues)

Car looks good! Do you have an idea how much each wheel weighs? with or without tires. Their website claims 16lbs but a local friend (the e30 above) ordered a set and they felt like 30lbs per wheel.

I think my 13x8s are something like 13 - 15 pounds.
You will need a different type of lugnut to run them as well, although the stockers can work in a pinch. Their website details the ideal type of lugnut.

I had zero problems running them on the street. I bought them from an ITA racer, and sold them to someone here who was going to use them on the street. I don't think he had any wheel related problems either.
