VA Unknown Part from under my dash

Hi, I removed the dash from my 1985 RX7 GSL and out popped a part that I can't seem to identify. Do any of you recognize this part and what it is for? Thanks!

Image is hard to see, can you blow it up?

It's something aftermarket, probably from a radio or alarm that some PO had in it.

Did you open it up? Could be a fuse.

Its a Choke. Used to filter out alternator noise. Not factory at all.

Get rid of it, lol. But be sure to find what it went to so that you don't have any exposed wiring under the dash which could lead to a short. I also agree that its a noise filter for an aftermarket radio. Its an old filter though based on the size.
