FB Big Brake Adapter Kit

We are doing a short survey to check serious interest in the FB Big Brake Adapter Kits.
The last set of these has found their new installs and we are debating about making any more.

Previous inquiries in the Forums and Social Media came back with quite a few people stating that they wanted this kit, but as it turned out, in reality it took more than a year to reclaim the investment. This is just the way things tend to go in the auto aftermarket world.

Looking for suggestions here - perhaps a group buy or other arrangements that will bring the best pricing to our community, but we need to see real commitment prior to making another outlay in time and materials.

Thanks for any input.

Hi oschool,

Can you point me where there are pics of this brake kit? I'm interested.

I can't say with 100% certainty since my T3 coilovers are on one FB, and my old respeed/T2 brake kit is on the other right now, but I'm pretty sure there would be no problem. The respeed kit (and from the looks of it, this one as well) basically just moves the caliper out (if looking at the car from the side) like an inch to fit over the larger diameter rotor, it stays basically on the same plane as the stock one and really, the T2 calipers are pretty similar in size to the GSL-SE calipers - which I have on the car with my T3 coil overs and there's a ton of room beteween the coil over and e brake mechanism. It should be fine!

Since I'm replying anyway, might as well put this out there - if oschool_3 is willing to sell just the rear portion of this kit I'd be interested in it. I have FC front subframes in my cars so the front kit is of no use to me

yeah I shot him a pm and he said the T3 utilizes the 84/85 spindle dimensions so it should work with no issues

on that note though, I really don't need upgraded rears... if you wanted to split a kit (I'd take fronts you take rears) I'd be down for that. not sure where the money line would be drawn though but it would make it easier for OP to split up a complete kit rather than just 1/2 of one

Could you provide any info on the rear kit? I have a GSL-SE axle w/o rear calipers and bracket, so if this could be a solution I'm interested.

Hi All

Just checking in and saying OP is a great seller and excellent customer service. i finished getting my front kit installed yesterday on my T3 coilovers. everything went smooth except i had to cut a small section of a bracket out on the T3 coilovers for the top bolt of the Tii calipers to fit. NBD
I'll try to get a pic uploaded
great product, thanks again Mark!

Yes, There was one person that had the T3 units.
The caliper brackets bolt up, but one of the strut center gussets required trimming.
It did not appear to compromised the assembly.
There were pictures posted but I cannot recall if they were on here or FB.
Hope this helps.

Hello.
What type of pictures or details are you looking for ?
There are several customer assemblies and some wheel fitment exercises we have done.

In the front, the kit actually moves effective wheel offset inboard a little less than 8mm.
The rear portion can be had separately.
