If you can finish up the front fenders, post some better pictures, and give us some details on what was required to make them fit that would be INCREDIBLE. I think we're going to start seeing a lot of flared 1st gens around here....

Crap. Where did you find tires for a 15x9 let alone a 10. Let me know if you want to sell the epsilons.

I only did a test fit. However It took about 2 minuets of the heat gun and slight pressure to manipulate it. I am waiting on making the final bends until when I install them.

I cant wait those would be a perfect size for my SA all the ones I have seen so far are way too wide for what I have.

P.S. I am runing 15/7 Kosei K1 with 205/50 tires with +20 off set and it needs just a little bit more room becouse they right at the edge.

Sorry guys for no update. I finished the rears and just need to do the fronts. Saturday kinda got askew.

It turned into a Tech day where I was running from car to car to help people out.

Motormounts in a Mazdaspeed protege, cat back exhaust on a Mustang, Lowering a civic and mounting a godawful body kit on a civic. Oh and I had the luxury of taking my Lincoln LS into the dealer for warranty service. Damn Domestics!!!

Sunday wasn't much better. Some bleed over projects from saturday plus the neighbor want me to do a tune up on his 96 integra GSR... I hate being a mechanic some times.

What sucks is that his brother wants me to get his ferd explorer to pass smog... YEH!!! I get to spend hours at the smog dyno now....

Anyway. The driver side actually came out better than the Passenger. So much better that I am going to reposition the Passenger. I took a ton of pictures!!! The fronts will be a cake walk compared to the rears.

I am still waiting for the welt to come in and the nutserts. I have drained the home depots in a 12 mile radius of 10-32 Allen Machine bolts and 10-32 Expansion nuts. That was an Exhausting Friday.

Sorry guys more to follow soon.

Very interested to see the fronts. I may have to change up if these look as good as I expect they will.

Ok I think I have the website for them. Check it out. It is under 240Z fiberglass parts tab. I am going to give these guys a call tomorrow to order some nice flares.

I told the guys at classic datsun. "once I put these on the car, Every RX7 owner and their mother is going to buy them"

He said "I hope so because, we were thinking about discontinuing them"

Finished the Driver's Front. I need to correct a placement error. Pics shortly and the error that needs correction.

Updated!

The better positioned Rear fender. Please note that the gap between the Flare and the tire is the stock gap. I followed the original fender arch. Also it is about as low as it can go with out flattening the exsiting arch and stressing the flare to cracking.

Also note that I will be lowering the car about 1/2 of an Inch when this is done.

at a Gas station!

Nice air dam huh! Some punk hit my car in the middle of the night 6 months ago. See the ding in the fender!

I hate the + Rims

The Error in Positioning

The Upper arrow need to be moved up and the lower needs to be moved closer to the tire.

I left the stock rim on so that you could see how much more tire you can fit under. Now the next leg of the Project it so Mount the rims on the New front suspension that I built.

I know it looks like alot of gap. but with the car lowered even more it will be ok. Who knows I may just move them down.

2 inches in the front and about that in the rear.

I know that you can easily run a 16x9 with 0 offset in the rear.

Front I am not sure but I have a set of 15x7's with 35 offset that I need to run 15mm spacers so that makes it 20mm.

Probably be able to run a 15x8 15mm offset.

I picked up some ZG flares -- but how did you decide how much to cut off the existing fender?

They're soooo cheap and they ALMOST fit perfectly just by placing them up against the stock body. The ends might need to be trimmed slightly as they butt right up against the trim pieces on the side of the car.

Where did you get yours at and how much?

TAS, PLEASE post some updates of how it all looks finished up. I for one would LOVE to see the finished product. Also, I think that this thread is definitely worthy of archive status...

Here is a nice write-up on installing them on a Z (http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113064), but it would be much nice to follow one for our cars.

I bought the fenders from the Z-Store. Shipping was super quick. They come in fiberglass ($189.95) and CF flavors ($389.95): http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/7BSA02.

The missing piece for me is a definitive way to measure or place them and make that first cut...hehe.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. How much was the shipping? I see on their site that it says oversized package. Was the shipping on them really expensive?

It shipped FedEx for $28.79. Not too bad IMHO because it's a quite large box.

TAS can you take a measurement on both the front and rear from the body fold down to establish a baseline as to where to locate the flares?
