Yes thats right. I have started the install on the FB. The Rear Passenger is mounted. I took pictures of the whole process. I will post some teaser pics later.

There are a few problems and a few things that I am going to change.

as you can see I am working in very limited confines. I had about 6 ft of space between the wall and rear wheel. I will finish up the driver's side rear the rest of this week and then do the fronts. Fronts are easy.... Rears take alittle work.

Like I said full write up. Mean time enjoy my passenger rear.....

there are little things that don't do it for me like the gaps at the bottoms, front and rear. I have an Idea to resolve that. I tried to limit modifing the flares as much as possible. This is because I track this car and a hit to the side would kill the flare I would rather replace it with something over the counter and no modifications.

Got them locally from classic datsun. They make them when you order them. They are a good bunch of Guys. My 510 buddy introduced me to them.

When I finish this I plan on assembling a ZG Flare hardware kit. While the mounts I used are fairly strong and sturdy I question the longevity of the expansion nuts.

So I ordered a bag of nut-inserts that are perfect for this installation. The last bit I ordered as well is a "gasket" that runs between the fender and the flare. This gasket will conceal the gaps.

The bottom gaps I don't quite know yet. I might just do an compound triangle to fill the gap. We shall see.

15x8 rears +15 offset, plus a 10mm spacer, on 225/50/15 rubber

You could totally run a 15x9 with zero offset.

Well after drilling the holes... I kinda committed myself. When I cut the inner and outer fender flare.... There was no going back. Thats why I took pictures so I could remember the measurements.

I always knew the ZG's were possible. Thing is when I bought them I took a blind leap. When I received them I put them on the car and realized... this could work.

I always try so make something work. And if the didn't? and I screwed up? Gives me a reason to put my imsa widebody rear kit on. Which is soon to be for sale.

Just to let you know I was able to make them sit more flush at the tips while test fitting mine tonight by using a heat gun and carefully bend them in at the tips. If you do this you have to hold the bend till it cools, and be careful because you can crack the fiberglass doing it. I did it in baby steps and it seemed to work the best.

i LOVE those flares. i like how they go down more than straight out. thats what i dont like about fibremazs flares.

He got those from CPRacing, out of business, crappy service, etc etc. However, they are the only company that ever made flares to fit the 1st Gen.

did they fit flush to the fender? How long did you heat them? I am not happy with the rear gap so I am going to reposition the rear closer to the wheel.

The gap between the flare and the tire is the same as stock... my car is lowered with eibachs. I am going to cut a coil to get the tires nice and flush with the flare. I also will pickup alittle spring rate too... something that is needed.

yeah CP went defunct like 2 years ago... I should of pickup those flares then. But i had a hardon for widebody. But i couldn't find a front that I liked....
